Our Welcome and Information Centers are staffed with courteous, knowledgeable travel professionals who will assist you with directions, where to stay and dine, and current happenings.
- VICD locations provide essential services that offer travelers restrooms, safety breaks and respite during adverse weather conditions.
- Our centers serve as billboards to promote the Vermont experience by marketing businesses, attractions and events to the traveling public.
- Marketing includes the brochure program, ad panels, business and craft displays.
- We provide the traveling public with clean, well-maintained facilities, knowledgeable travel ambassadors, coffee by donation, and free wireless internet.
- There are 16 facilities operating within the Vermont Information Center Division network, with one operating seasonally May to October and one temporarily closed due to the July 2023 flooding in Montpelier.
- Five facilities are operated contractually by the local chamber of commerce and funded by the state.
